If this section interests you we will be sharing our progress on all aspects of our program in the coming months. We will be looking at how we use sports science to measure, monitor and improve our performance.
Whether you are planning an extreme challenge somewhere in the world and would like some tips, a fitness enthusiast, enjoy fitness classes in your local gym or school sports lessons or you simply have an interest, we are sure this section will be fascinating.
The team is carrying out general conditioning training at the moment.
The first proper training week is planned for 15 – 23 February 2010, when the team will be based at Rothiermurchus Lodge near Aviemore and will be training on the Southern Cairngorms area.
The training plan for the week is as follows:
16/17 Feb 2010 – Check equipment/sleds on 10km loop ski route.
18/19 Feb 2010 – 30km routes on both days.
20-22 Feb 2010 – 3 day expedition based on 30km ski per day, practising administration and tent routine.
